Jezebel is a special GBGV girl as the mother of our first GBGV litter.  She came to us from Corey Benedict and Brent Humphrey as an 8 week old gangly puppy and has turned into a strikingly beautiful fully mature adult.  Jezebel does well in the show ring but is happiest chasing squirrels in the back yard.  She is an obsessive hunter and will frequently skip meals if she has a critter in sight.  She is quite independent but turns into a snuggle bug at night when she's sleepy.  She still wants to be held in spite of the fact that she is a fairly good sized dog and weighs in just over 50 pounds!  She is also one of the only ones that can hop onto our tall bed so she sleeps with Bill and  I every night.


Jezebel represents a unique blood line in the United States as her father, Mortz, was one of the first GBGVs in the US imported from Germany.  Her litter is the result of a frozen contribution as Mortz had lived a good, long life and passed away several years before Jezebel was born.


Miss Jezebel had three litters producing an amazing 29 puppies!  Her first litter of 9 pups was born in February 2018, her second litter of 10 pups was born in July 2019 and her last litter of 10 pups was born in November 2020.  We will let her retire from the whelping box.  She has held her shape amazingly well so we will show her a bit more but otherwise, she can be found under a tree, looking up and watching for squirrels.
